Check this girl out!

These clothes are designed and made by my new favorite designer, Hacker. Many of her clothes are made with soft, stretchy cotton which is my absolute favorite. I'm all about comfort and fashion! I found her about a month ago at The Mission Bazaar which is this funky, wonderful shopping experience in the old armory building in The Mission District of San Francisco.

Because she had sold most of her designs, she agreed to make the perfect shirt for me and mail it to my house. When I got it, it didn't fit quite perfectly so I met her in her studio and she agreed to make it perfect for me. I love, love, love her work. Maybe you will too. (I'll take a photo of me in the shirt and post it here soon:)

If you are in San Francisco, you can check out some of her designs at R.A.G. in Hayes Valley. Blakely is the curator there. (waving: hey Blakely!) R.A.G. is a cooperative boutique "which showcases locally designed and manufactured fashion." These wonderful women are doing a great job right here, locally, in San Francisco. I love it.

My New Bicycle

Well, I don't have it yet, but I'm getting it this Friday! I'm so excited that I can't wait to share all of the details. What I can say is that I wrote a 50-word essay describing how a new bike would set me free. I received an email yesterday morning that my essay was chosen and I'm one of several people in San Francisco that will get to cruise around on this sweet bicycle.

I've been thinking about getting a bicycle for about a month or two now. I joined the bicycle coalition and in one of their weekly emails was an opportunity to get this new bike. Again, I'll write more details, once I sign the release form and actually get the bike on Friday.

Woohoo! I'm so excited:)

My new MacBook

I am so excited. I've just received my very first "real" computer. According to my friend, JR, I've now entered the real world of technology. Apparently, everyone he knows who has purchased an Apple computer has been enlightened and are now drinking the company kool-aid. I won't say that I'm thirsty just yet, but maybe by the next MacWorld in January 2009, I'll be singing a different tune.

I must say, it is uber-cool! It's so cute and white and pretty.

I'm using it now; still getting used to the differences from the PC. Some day, hopefully soon, I'll be sending out DVD's of the girls so that their grandparents and family can watch them grow. I'm also looking forward to the photo applications and learning how to more easily get them here. I'm even stepping into the tech world and downloading podcasts onto my iPod shuffle to listen to while I run. Yup, I finally got an iPod too, that's thanks to my current employer, thanks Papa BB.

It feels like Christmas around here!
